WPSians’ Athletic Meet at Green Land Convent School

Waheguru Public School participated in Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Athletic Meet at Green Land Convent School on October 15, 2022.

Our students took part in various athletic activities.

Ashleen Kaur and Gagandeep Singh participated in the 100 meter race, 50 metre hurdle, and 50 x 4 relay race.

Manpreet Kaur and Gurman Singh participated in the 100 meter race, 50 metre hurdle, and 100 x 4 relay race.

Manpreet Kaur participated in the 100 meter, 200 metre hurdle, and 100 x 4 relay races.

Rohanpreet Singh participated in the long jump, shot put, and 100 x 4 relay race.

They were also awarded with certificates of participation

Pre-Primary Diwali celebration at Waheguru Public School Pamal

Diwali is the festival of lights, which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name ‘Diwali’ literally means ‘an array of lights’.

To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, Waheguru Public School celebrated on October 22nd, 2022. Teachers explained the importance of Diwali: the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

Students were also taught about Bandi Chhor Diwas. It commemorates the day the sixth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Hargobind Ji, released 52 kings from Gwalior Fort, who had been imprisoned by the Mughal Emperor Jahangir.

Both teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.
